The Petsafe® Outdoor Bark Control is designed to stop outdoor nuisance barking.

You simply hang this decorative, weatherproof unit on a tree, wall or fence post and let the internal microphone teach your dog to stop barking.

The unit activates within 15 metres and emits an unpleasant, but non-harmful, high-pitch ultrasonic sound. The ultrasonic sound can only be heard by the dog (not humans) and dogs have far greater hearing than humans. They are able to determine the direction a sound is coming from much more accurately than we can.

Startled by the high-pitched sound, the dog should stop barking, as it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise.

Runs on one 9 volt battery (the same as in fire alarms).
